The aim of the “Health and Social Care Strategies and Policies” course is to provide students with an understanding of the key strategies and policies that underpin the provision of health and social care services. Through the course, students will gain an understanding of the organization and structure of health and social care systems, policy and decision-making processes, legal and ethical frameworks, and the social determinants of health.
The course also aims to equip students with the skills needed to critically analyze and evaluate health and social care policies, and to understand the role of key stakeholders in shaping health and social care strategies. By the end of the course, students will be able to apply their knowledge and skills to identify and address key challenges and opportunities facing health and social care systems, and to promote effective and equitable healthcare delivery.
